The Dunamis Band has made quite a few guest appearances during the past few months, participating in concerts across the length and breadth of Guyana, South America. The band’s invitations have thus far come from assemblies as far as the West Coast of Berbice, all the way to Craig on the East Bank of Demerara. The Dunamis Band is also becoming a regular feature at local churches in Georgetown. Band members have spoken concerning their recent trip to the West Coast of Berbice as being a “tiring, yet uplifting experience”. In the midst of their appearances, the Dunamis Band has been playing and accommodating both local and international Gospel Artistes. However, despite the obvious fun the band members have enjoyed, they’ve been able to maintain their primary focus, which is, ministering and evangelizing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music. The band has recently played at a concert hosted by the Heavenly Light Ministries of Albouystown, Georgetown, Guyana. According to reports, the band, led by the power of the Holy Spirit, contributed to a great atmosphere of worship that enabled residents and youths of the community (of which 70% of the turnout consisted of youths) to give praise to the Lord. The band opened the concert and played throughout the first half of the show. The concert saw appearances from both local and international Gospel artistes. Locally bred artistes such as Solid Youth, Christ Like Soldiers, Kester D, Leonard Hoppie, and the People of Praise Band graced the stage in Albouystown, while Jamaican artiste, St. Matthew, Rachel from Suriname, and Baby C from Trinidad and Tobago also performed. The Dunamis Band has been working very hard at advancing their musical skills and as such received several compliments regarding their performance at the recent concert hosted by Heavenly Light Ministries at which they played for both local and international artiste that were slotted to perform that evening. However, and most importantly, the band was glad to have been a part of an effort that helped several youths to give their heart to the Lord, Jesus Christ. Keoma Griffith
