Profile of a Pioneer It is from these same Covenant Group meetings that a need arose to develop an assembly in East Ruimveldt. An outstation was birthed which is now the growing fellowship known as the Ruimveldt Life Improvement Centre Assembly of God. One pioneer of these Cell Groups is Myrvin Linden Anthony, a former resident of East Ruimveldt and back then, a young member of Central with a heart for lost souls. The first ever Covenant Group meeting was held in the living room of his home and from this, five (5) more Covenant Groups were born and reached at least five hunded (500) people every Wednesday. Mr. Anthony's dedication was evident in the way that he balanced his responsibilities at home, his commitment to evangelism and preparation for his A level examinations. It is because of this dedication that he won a Tate and Lyle Scholarship to the University of Cambridge in England which he pursued in the late 1980’s. Myrvin attended the East La Penitence Primary, East Ruimveldt Secondary, North Ruimveldt Multilateral and Queens College where he secured 3 A levels. His tertiary education consists of B.SOC.SC.
